Autumn Colors

This time of year, the difference in a two-week time period is dramatic.  These are the crepe myrtles in my front flower bed – the very first plants Willie Jay and I planted at our new house over six years ago.   They have put on their Autumn colors —  almost glowing this year and they bring a smile to my face every time I see them.

I wish I could capture all these shades of orange, gold & brown into a quilt to remind me of my favorite season.  Hey, maybe that’s an idea for a ‘quilty’ winter project just for me !
