The past few days (and nights) have been filled with laughter and singing silly songs in the car. I’ve listened to First Grade reading homework (Joe & I can highly recommend ‘Flyboy’ as a Good Read!), and did the bathtime & bedtime routine. I’ve learned that bribing is an essential negotiating tool for this MoMo and that if I ever need to bring out the ‘big guns’ — all I have to do is wave ‘Mr. Spoon’ around — it’s truly a magic wand of sorts.
Through it all, I can’t even begin to count all hugs/cuddles/kisses I received and I loved every minute. Don’t get me wrong – there were moments when the whining and sibling fighting were in full force. But, being able to sit outside and watch the first star appear with a little boy (and all his questions/comments) or to watch a 2 year run across a playground to leap into your arms is something I’ll cherish for the rest of my life. And, even though I’m very tired today — I would do it all over again (just give a me few days to rest up!)
Below are a couple of ‘snapshots’ from my week.
Legos – Joe’s current favorite and found all over the house (I had forgotten how much it hurt to step on one of these in the dark!)
Something else I had forgotten about — all that laundry. These two appliances came in very handy (and they play a little tune when they are ready to be unloaded – how cute ! )
I am very blessed and thankful to have had this time with Joe & Laney and I missed them this morning. God keep you safe my two little munchkins!!
