It’s hard to believe that in a few weeks, we will have much cooler weather. But, the reality is that those ‘Blue Norther’s will be blowing down from Canada very soon; and, then we will all be piling on layer after layer, just to keep warm. Here’s my contribution to one winter layer for someone on my Christmas list this year.
The ‘Almost Garter Scarf’ — knitted in a really funky/confusing way (at least for my left-handed & dyslexic brain that is!) It took me more than a few rows to get the hang of the sliding your work to one end of the dpn (or circular needle if you prefer). All that yarn changing, sliding, knitting is giving me alternating rows of knit and purl — even though I’m not doing any purling. Pretty darn cool if I do say so myself !
Note: Needles: Size 10 Brittany wood dpn. Yarns: Multi-color yarn is a wool blend and the tan is cashmere, both are from my stash. Pattern: Free Pattern by Norah Gaughan from the Berroco Design Studio
