A ‘Jazzy’ quilt for Willie Jay

A work in progress — for a long time.

Over  3 years of planning, cutting, stablizing,  & stitching — and one day it will be a lap quilt made with t-shirts my hubby’s 20 year collection.  The majority of the shirts are from ‘Jazz N June’ in Norman, Oklahoma – the site of our first date in the summer of 1988.  Other t-shirts are from vacations and other Jazz related themes.  A portion of the fabric has also been collected over the years — with some very colorful additions Willie Jay selected himself.  There are many memories that will stitched into this quilt — and,  I hope to finish in time for our 21st Anniversary in November.   Progress is currently at 20% so I have a long way to go — which means I better get busy !!
