For today – June 4th, 2010

FOR TODAY…

Outside my window. . .  the birds are feasting on the seed I threw out this morning – sparrows, finches, and a pair of Mallard ducks (I”ve named them – Papa & Mama).

I am thinking… about my doctor’s appointment later this morning

I am thankful for… cool mornings (with afternoon temps in the 90’s – cool mornings are something to treasure).

I am wearing… cropped pants, a loose cotton top and sandals –comfy is the word because  it’s summer in Oklahoma.

I am remembering… check my emails before I leave the office today

I am going… to see a new doctor today and hopefully find the reason for my discomfort

From the kitchen… home-made quick breads (pumpking & banana nut) made weeks ago, they will be used for treats at church this Sunday.

I am hoping… get another embroidery project started soon – needlework is addictive.

I am wondering… how my friend is doing as she struggles with some health issues (we both agree that getting older is not for sissies !!)

Noticing… just how much my grandbabes are growing  (above picture was taken at Joe’s  ‘end of school’ party – – can’t believe he’s almost 7 years old!)

Pondering these words…  ‘worry is the misuse of your imagination’

Around the house and/or office … things are picking up a bit and that’s a very good thing

One of my favorite things… quiet time in the morning with a cup of coffee and my knitting
