New, Green

It seems like this has happened overnight – green is appearing everywhere —

My King Alfred daffodils will be blooming soon — these are from bulbs purchased at the Farmer’s Market in Portland, Oregon and carried in my hand luggage on the plane trip back.   Probably couldn’t even get bulbs through security now.

My ‘Linda Lilies’ were a surprise this morning as I made my walk around the flower beds before heading out to work.  Last weekend, this was just a pile of leaves and now look at that beautiful shade of green !   So many of my flowers/shrubs are ‘pass along’ plants;  and, this time of year, each time I see these new, green shoots — I’m reminded of all those dear friends and family who shared a bit of their garden with me.
