I meet with a group of artists every Monday night — women who create with fabric, thread, and sometimes yarn.   Creations like this:

A quilt for a ‘birder’ — stitched by my friend (and sister fiber-artist), Nancy for her sister, an avid bird-watcher.   Believe me, the above picture does not do justice to the colors in this quilt – it’s lovely.

My little contribution to ‘creating’  — a small project bag for my knitting.  My sewing corner has been out of commission due to some much needed re-organization and de-cluttering for over a month now.  Lately, I’ve been having sewing-withdrawal.  Sunday I couldn’t take it anymore — I cleared my sewing table, pulled out some of my favorite fabrics, picked out a pattern and sat myself down to stitch.  It felt so good – and, after 40 minutes or so – I had a little creation to carry about with me.  So Sweet !!

Note:  bag pattern is ‘Market Bag’ from allpeoplequilt.com.
